Smallthorne Primary Academy is a one-form entry school in Smallthorne, Stoke-on-Trent. We cater for pupils aged 3 to 11 years and we benefit from a popular breakfast club and an after-school and holiday ‘Care Club.’
Welcome to Smallthorne Primary Academy.
It gives me great pleasure to introduce our wonderful Academy to you. I am exceptionally proud to be Principal at Smallthorne and so fortunate to be able to work with our brilliant young people and talented staff team. We are wholly committed to providing the best possible education for our pupils and are keen to work with our parents, carers and the City Learning Trust to do just that.
We are a team of dedicated, highly-committed and caring staff who don’t stop until we have enabled the best for our pupils. Smallthorne Academy offers children a nurturing environment where they are loved and valued and provided with a rich array of opportunities that enable them to flourish – both in and out of school. We place great importance on learning and creating a vibrant and enthusiastic learning community. Our pupils are keen to learn, polite, friendly and hugely inquisitive. They learn within a safe, supportive environment where we keep the motto ‘smile, strive and shine’ at our hearts.
We work as one big family at Smallthorne. This includes children, staff, parents and carers, governors, trustees, local residents and visitors. As a key part of the City Learning Trust, we are also able to work with other Primary and Secondary providers to link up the educational journey for our children. As a Trust, we place children and young people first in everything we do. We offer them opportunities which enrich their lives – a great quality education is vitally important but unique experiences built into the curriculum will stay with them forever and help them to develop into fully rounded citizens.
If you would like to see what we are doing, book a visit and come and have a look around.
